wheels coming off in Edmonton

1 win in the last 8 games. This puts the final nail in the theory of "tanking"

How many top picks do you need. Those franchises were picking in the lottery for years and still never accomplished anything. Edmonton has Connor Mcdavid and Darnell Nurse. The rest are a bunch of slow slugs. leon draisaitl must be hurt. He looks awful

Edmonton sucks, Chia sucks. That doesn’t change the fact that you need those top picks. It in no way “puts the nail in the theory of tanking”.

Other than the Oilers, what other franchises are you referring to?

For once I agree with Sam, you don't need top picks to win.
Look at all the teams that won cups without 2 top 5 picks since about 1990 for example.
You have Detroit in 2008 and well virtually nobody, oh wait there really is nobody else is there?
LA had Kopitar at 9, but really at 9 he was a steal.
Don't we all hate it when facts get in the way of forum arguments?
