Sheahan for Pouliot + Pick Once Athanasiou is Signed

Postby Pop Zeus » Wed Sep 20, 2017 3:16 pm

Rumor from Penguins beat reporter, via HFboards trade board

Derrick Pouliot was picked 8th overall after a strong draft-year campaign with the Portland Winterhawks.

Interesting the Penguins drafted 2 defensemen from that team in Round 1 and neither guy has panned out.

depends on the pick. at least Sheahan can play at the NHL level. Pouliot is looking like a complete bust

I don't think he would be scoring less goals than Sheahan

Guy was decent in AHL, but that doesn't mean much.

Seems early for Pit to give up on him.

I'm not a fan of trading Sheahan.
I'd rather move Helm or Nielsen even if requires eating salary.

It boggles the mind that this team is considering moving 25 year olds while keeping all these oldtimers around.

Who said that the Wings were interested in moving RS? It's a figment of some reporters imagination

I don't know that they necessarily want to move Sheahan. They just can't move anyone else and obviously don't want to move Larkin, Mantha, etc.
