David Booth To Join Red Wings

Postby josephmo87 » Wed Aug 30, 2017 6:01 pm

for training camp try out

"I've thought about your last offer and I think I'm ready to si--"

"Hold on Andreas, I got another call coming in"

"Ken Holland here"

"Hey Kenny, this is David Booth, was wondering if I could come to camp and try out"

"I don't see why not, you can never have too many 3rd/4th line players and if that doesn't work out you can always take up playing time from a prospect in Grand Rapids."

"Sounds great Kenny, you won't regret this!"

"What do I care? They won't fire me! Hey wait, aren't you from Michigan?"

"Yeah, Detroit actually"

"Oh well in that case I'll have an offer drawn up in a few minutes!"

Good for Holland keeping jobs in America that could be sent overseas.

Yea, he's the first guy in the league with a PTO with a NTC.
He could be another AHL all-star, who knows.

Yeah I know, unfortunately I could see this:
"I don't see why not, you can never have too many 3rd/4th line players and if that doesn't work out you can always take up playing time from a prospect in Grand Rapids."
happening, you know for depth.

not concerned, a pto is nothing. Weve done this with dozens of guys and then they almost all get cut and let go. Even on the off chance he ends up in the A, its not like the grifs are overstocked with quality young talent with nhl potential, especially not up front.

Booth is a local boy. The Wings are doing him a solid. There's really no room for him on the roster barring injury. Of course, if his wife is going to be in regular attendance, then by all means, sign him.

Well then, after seeing that I hope they cut him in the first five minutes. And say hurtful things and make him cry.
