Re: GDT Buffalo at Detroit, 7:30

That 3-on-3 hockey sure is exciting. Even bad teams have at least 3 players with skill. That's the future of NHL right there.

Re: Sproul passes Smith on NYR Depth Chart

Also, they are replacing a competitor like Smith with a guy that's about as aggressive as AA on Nyquil. Competitor? I would refer you to the OP 'Meanwhile Brendan Smith cleared waivers as we all expected and is in Hartford where he's making 4 mil+ to go pointless and -8 in 5 games.' The OP was not ...

Re: The Svechnikov Brothers

im a big fan of chemistry. Just look at the sedin twins. IMO 2 players that can instinctively read off each other and intuitively adapt on the fly is nearly impossible to defend against. The defensive players can only react after the fact whereas the pair was already moving ahead of time. ITs much ...

Re: Softest NHL player of all time.

From Detroit's recent past:
Sheahan
Filppula
Leino
Lang
Robitaille (though he did stand up for Homer that one time)
Whitney
Boyd the Void

This has nothing to do with giving Sproul a shot; or that Sproul is better than Smith. He is what he is. He's like Jensen, but bigger and less intelligent. This move is about improving their draft position. Also, they are replacing a competitor like Smith with a guy that's about as aggressive as AA ...

Re: Mrazek traded to Philadelphia

Howard, who was offered in a trade to the New York Islanders last week, said he doesn't necessarily feel relief that he's sticking around (he is).

At least Holland tried to move Howard.

Re: AA needs to be the next to go

Edmonton's D is about as effective as ours. Giving up Nurse for AA doesn't help them at all.

There is a reason they traded Hall for Larsson.

That sounds a little better. So, if he plays well, we have a shot at a 2nd this year and 3rd next year.

Conditional picks.

I'm hoping the deal is structured so that at least one of those picks becomes a reality.
